BetGr8 Android app: download and install the APK

Not on Google Play? No problem. Here is how to install the BetGr8 app safely in a minute.

Android APK

Why the app is not on Google Play

In most regions, Google Play does not carry real-money gambling apps. For that reason, the app is distributed as an APK directly from the official site. The APK format is what every Android app uses under the hood.

Download only from the official domain. Unofficial APK files may be modified or steal account data. When in doubt, ask support for the correct link. How to recognise the real domain is explained in our guide to the official site.

It is a short job, with a download that is light enough for mobile data. Check that the phone has some free space.

Installing on Android

Whatever the brand, the sequence is basically the same. Wording may differ a little between devices. Follow the order below and you will be playing in the app in a couple of minutes.

• Visit the casino on your phone and press the app download button
• Confirm the permission to install unknown apps
• Open the APK from the notification or the downloads folder
• Press install and let Android finish
• Sign in with your usual login details

During the install, Android warns about apps from unknown sources. The notice is the same for any app from a website, and says nothing about this app in particular. It is good practice to disable the permission afterwards.

What the app offers

The app holds the full lobby, the cashier and live chat. The catalogue of more than 7000 titles from 24 studios is the same as on the site. Sports betting is in the app too. Your balance, bonuses and history are shared with the website. Games you marked on desktop are waiting in the app. How the app side compares with the rest of the casino is covered in our BetGr8 casino review.

Notifications keep you informed about promotions. Notifications can be muted at any time.

Payments in the app use the same methods as the website, so players in Kenya can deposit via I&M bank or AstroPay. You might be redirected briefly to approve the payment. KYC photos can be taken and sent from within the app. Every method and its minimum are listed in the guide to deposit methods.

Common problems

The app notifies you when an update is available. Installing updates quickly keeps everything running smoothly. If an update fails, download the latest APK again from the official site.

If the app will not install or open

An installation error often means the permission was not granted or the download was incomplete. Delete the file, get a new copy and try once more. If the app acts strangely, a cache reset usually helps. Very old Android versions might not be supported, in which case use the browser version.

For anything else, contact support 24/7 by live chat, email and phone.

Comparing the options

App and site share the lobby, the cashier and the bonuses. The browser version is better if you prefer not to download files. The app is handy for regular players who want quick access and notifications. The mobile version has a guide of its own.

App users receive the same 100% up to KES 76,000 + 50 free spins package. You can track the 35x rollover and set limits in the app too. Choose the option that fits your habits, and switch whenever you like. Some people keep the app for quick sessions and the desktop site for longer ones. Whatever combination you choose, your settings and limits follow you everywhere.

Safe and responsible app use

No real agent will ask for your password. Lock your device, because anyone holding it could open the app. Two-step verification protects your balance.

Gambling is for adults, 18+, and should stay entertainment. The app gives access to the same limits as the website. Turn off promotional notifications if they make you play more than you planned. Self-exclusion can be activated from the app as well. Removing the app for a few weeks can help if play starts to feel automatic, with free help available from specialised services.
